Friday night in a small-town rink. That was the league.

This site has been the unofficial home of WOAA senior men’s hockey since the mid-2000s: scores, scoring updates, playoff boards. The circuit itself dates to 1943 under the Western Ontario Athletic Association. Hockey Canada rules on the ice. Not an OHA or Hockey Canada league. Senior AA and Senior A in the same winter, two divisions that did not interlock until the playoffs.

The last WOAA Senior AA season was 2022–23. Tavistock won the AA title. Ten clubs then left to start the Ontario Elite Hockey League. What remains here is the record of the rinks that used to pack on a Saturday.

Georgian Triangle and Southwestern Ontario. Local juniors grown up, the odd former pro, and a packed standing-room end.

Playoffs

Divisions met only when the regular season was done. AA and A each kept their own trophy.

2022–23

Seaforth topped the 20-game table. Tavistock beat Ripley for the AA championship. Milverton took Senior A.

After

Creemore, Durham, Lucknow, Milverton, Minto, Ripley, Saugeen Shores, Seaforth, Shelburne, Tavistock left in August 2023.
