Brent was born in Hanover and raised in Sauble Beach, but he has settled in Port Elgin. He played junior in Kincardine, Waterloo, Conestoga and senior with the Lucknow Lancers. “Dermy” attended Conestoga College, and graduated to become a Safety Technician for Bruce Power; he loves the winning tradition of the Winterhawks. Dermy lists reading as his main hobby and before games he can be found taking a long walk in a field.
